KIDDERMINSTER AND DISTRICT INDOOR BOWLING LEAGUE
New season 2025-2026
The season commenced at Stourport Civic Hall on Monday 29th September, with prior practise sessions having taken place on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23fd of September
The Kidderminster and District Indoor Bowling League (formerly Gilt Edge League) started the 2016/2017 competition season on the 3rd October 2016 in its new home venue at “The Civic Hall, Martin’s Way, Stourport on Severn, DY13 8UJ”. The venue which offers excellent facilities replaces the former venue at Gilt Edge Leisure Centre.
The league was first formed in the late 1980s and has been operating very successfully since that time, and in addition to the league competition other individual competitions are promoted. The league mainly covers the north of the county meaning that there is ample scope for bowlers from the southern part of the county to become involved. For the 2025 / 2026 season eight teams will be competing against each other. The league will operate on Monday and Tuesday evenings during the season ( depending on the availability of the hall), from 7.30pm to 10.00pm – each team within the league comprises two triples .
Anyone interested in becoming involved with short mat bowling is invited to come along to the civic hall at Stourport on one of the league evenings to see what is happening, or alternatively contact – Richard Rose – rstanr@yahoo.co.uk
