County v Gloucestershire – Sunday 25th January 2026

This home fixture against Gloucestershire was the fist leg of the competition for  2026 Two Shires Trophy.

The match was closely contested with Worcestershire winning eight of the sixteen individual triples matches played  with the points score level on 16-16. The shot difference was also very close with Worcestershire scoring 154 shots to Gloucestershire’s 159. The second leg will be played at Kingsway, Gloucester on Saturday 28th March.

This away fixture ended with  Worcestershire losing by 6 points to 34. Worcestershire scored 139 shots with Gloucestershire scoring 276. There was one highlight for the county during the day with Tyler Shuck scoring 4 of Worcestershire’s 6 points. In the first game of the day Tyler led throughout the game to ensure a comfortable 14-7 win. In the afternoon game, Tyler was behind his opponent after  the third end until drawing level 13-13 during the 14th end. Tyler finished the final end superbly by winning three shots to achieve an overall win 16-13. Tyler at the age of 14 has really made his mark for the county. The other success was a win for Jenny Gibbs and Jim Tingle in their afternoon Pairs game. This was a close contest with Jenny and Jim drawing level  14-14 going into the final end which they won convincingly by 3 shots to win overall 17-14.
