The county squad for the fixture against Herefordshire to be held at Daventry on Sunday the 10th February is shown below. This fixture is the first in the end of season inter county knockout matches. The winners will go on to play Buckinghamshire in the quarter finals.

The ESMBA has notified the county that our preliminary round knockout fixture against Herefordshire will take place at Daventry Indoor Bowls Centre on Sunday 10th February. = 9 .30 arrival for 10.00 start.

Inter county competition 2019/20 – Worcestershire will be included within a group together with Herefordshire, Northamptonshire, and Shropshire – dates to be announced in due course.
National finals 2019 allocations – Singles 2 – Pairs 1 – Triples 2 – Fours 2 – Mixed Fours 1 – Over 55s Pairs 1.
Inter county knockout 2019 – Worcestershire have been drawn against Herefordshire on Saturday 9th February with the winner of that match playing against Buckinghamshire the following weekend.
Dining arrangements at Bromsgrove Indoor Bowling Club
All members of the Short Mat Bowling Association, and particularly those who will be competing at Bromsgrove in January in club competitions, should be aware that there will be no catering facilities available at Bromsgrove Indoor Bowling Club until further notice. The existing caterer has suddenly ceased operations. The indoor bowling staff are attempting to find alternative caterers but until they do so our bowlers must take their own lunch with them until further notice. There will be coffee available and the bar will function as usual.
ESMBA Inter County Rinks Competition
Worcestershire entered into this year’s inter county rinks competition for the first time. The competition took place at Daventry over the weekend of 8th and 9th December. Worcestershire played on Saturday the 8th and were in a group of eight counties playing on that day. – other counties were due to play on the 9th. Worcestershire were drawn to play against Herefordshire, Essex and Hertfordshire in a round robin series of matches. Rinks competitions consist of counties playing 4 x fours teams with the top two counties from each group proceeding to a finals competition which will take place over the weekend of 26th/27th January.The county had a successful day coming second in their group and as a result will go forward to the finals in January.
